Some of the services Cognizant offers to the Banking & Financial Services (BFS) industry, in addition to shared services such as, Finance & Accounting, Data Analytics and Customer Service Solutions, include:

Capital Markets - Investment Banking, Investment Management, Securities Services

Banking - Retail Banking, Credit Cards, Consumer Lending

Key areas of responsibility:
The candidate will be hired as an Account Manager within the BPS BFS practice reporting to the regional head
The main responsibility and focus of the role will be the growth of our BPS business within the designated client account(s)
A critical early task will be developing and executing on a client specific account plan
Among the critical tasks likely to feature in the plan are:
Managing the existing BPS business and associated client relationships as well as teams delivering the services in scope within the designated client account(s)
Achievement of client satisfaction scores in line with agreed targets; where, such client satisfaction scores are attained from the yearly Client Satisfaction Survey that is conducted by Cognizant via an independent agency
Developing the opportunity pipeline and winning new business in line with agreed targets

The role will also involve:
Managing and growing the client account(s) P&L, MIS & reporting applicable for the BPS business
Leading the BPS pursuits within the designated client account(s) (managing the entire deal process, creating compelling business solutions, presenting winning bids etc)
Managing SOWs and provide status updates to clients
Forecasting and managing resource requirements optimally
Planning and prioritising activities for the team with the aim of meeting deadlines consistently
Collaborating with the offshore service delivery managers to ensure Service Level Agreements are met
Collaborating with the Client Partner(s) in deepening client relationships with the aim of achieving or maintaining Cognizant's preferred supplier/trusted advisor status
Acting as the service delivery escalation point within the designated client account(s)

Candidates must be able to present:
A thorough understanding of the industry specific business issues and have the ability to discuss these with senior client executives and stakeholders
Thought leadership in outsourcing and a deep understanding of the global delivery system
Strong business development focused account management experience that is not limited to P&L management and farming' experience
Ability to manage clients (especially those remotely), build strong relationships
Ability to engage in consultative selling
Experience in formulating creative deals
